LPG
commodity description
Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a mixture of volatile hydrocarbon gases, propene, propane, butene, and butane. Natural gas and oil are the primary sources of LPG production. It is also increasingly produced from renewable energy sources.
When in liquid form, LPG has an appearance similar to that of water. In its gaseous form, it is colourless and expands to almost 300 times its volume.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
LPG is a versatile, clean, efficient, and portable energy source, commonly used as a fuel gas for heating and engine fuel for generators. It can be stored nearly indefinitely without degradation.
